Free motion embroidery is a fusion of art and sewing, and favours the skills of an artist over a sewer. Here, I have designed a flower display, transferred it onto linen canvas, applied felt remnants, then 'line drawn' in black thread. This is done through lowering the teeth on the machine and with a special foot, it allows the designer to 'draw' a picture. The picture is then left uncut for you own frame and will measure approximately 8x8 inches. Within the colour range specified, the order may change slightly from picture to picture to offer a subtle difference and interest. Furthermore, due to the specific technique of free motion embroidery, no 2 pictures with match exactly but they will be very similar.
